    Default Cella shaving soap

I have just purchased Cella shaving soap in a small plastic container . My question is can I put this in an open shaving mug because it is unlike any soap I have , and thought maybe it might dry out .

I like the red plastic container, but I suppose it would depend on how often you use it. All soaps will dry out eventually as far as I know, but if you use them they are less likely to. I wouldn't risk it because I love my cella, but if you want to experiment you can at least know that cella is still readily available and inexpensive.

One thing you may want to think about too is dissipation of scent.

My wife gave me Cella for my birthday and I love the smell and it shaves well. I just need to add a little more water to the mug; I had it a bit on the dry side. I use my finger and scoop some out and put it in my mug, add about a teaspoon of water and whip it up with my brush.

    BaldyLocks,

You can also take an almond sized piece and smear it over your chops and face lather; works much better than it sounds

For me, Cella is the best lather product I have ever used

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

Cella is best stored in a sealed container with limited exposure to light or air. The reason being... it doesn't have any preservatives and has a lot of tallow, which can spoil; also, the scent will dissipate in time.

Cella is awesome. When I got mine I smoshed it into a tupperware and used it that way so I had more room to work my brush.

It's in my top 3 soaps.

It sure is awesome. I like using it with Bigelow shaving cream for a uber lather, I get some awesome shaves that way. Smells great too! Cella and C.O. Bigelow by Proraso are my two favorite "go-to's".

+1. It will yellow and spoil fairly quickly. You'll lose that wonderful scent and instead get rancid stink!
