Thread: The Keepers

Ah, my dear thebigspendur, what an intriguing lineup of the great soaps. I especially remember the essences of Earth, Wind and Fire from my San Francisco days in the 60s. Indeed, I have tried all the ones you mentioned, and have been impressed by all, and given them their own spot in my little kingdom of soaps. I know good stuff when I see it, cousin.
None, though, comes anyway near Senora Rufina's Pizza soaps, especially if you replace the morning coffee accompanying your shave with a bottle of Chianti and sing along "How dry I am . . ."

Thanked: 1195Soaps that I would put on the "Keep" list (which to me means that they will be replenished when depleted):
-Any of the 3 T's
-DR Harris
-MWF
-L'Occitane
-Tabac
-SRD Bulgarian Rose Otto ..... sorry, had to mention it even if SRD never makes it again
...But then again, who am I kidding? The way things are going I'll be collecting my pension by the time any of my soaps will need to be replaced!

Great list so far. The only one I haven't seen mentioned yet that is on my keeper list is Queen Charlotte Soaps Key Lime. I prefer it to Castle Forbes.

Obie, the Klar you refer to....is that Klar Kabinette, or their other flavors? I love the Klar Kabinette. Such a great rose scent. The only reason I won't put it down as one of my 'keepers' is that i've yet to try any other rose soaps. It is a GREAT soap, the quality of the lather is nearly identical to D.R. Harris, and the scent is light, but definitive. Makes me want to take a bite out of it.
And at the price, its a steal. 500g of soap for $20? YES PLEASE!
Also on my list of keepers is D.R. Harris Arlington.
Now to find myself strong citrus scent. I'm thinking C&S, since DC 1913 has been discontinued

Yes, Lazarus, an interesting soap variety here. Oh, by the way, Castle Forbes is actually a shave cream, and it is the only keeper among my creams once they run out.
