Men,
I have not seen mention of one of my favorites yet - any of the Mama Bear's lineup! Are they on par with MDC, MWF and the 3 T's? That's up to the individual user to decide. I must say that I have never had a hard time lathering Ma B's and her scents are always true to their title/fun.

Wow. Mama Bear's has a bewildering lineup of scents. The other favorites around here such as MdC and MWF seem have only one or two scents. Is there one scent that Mama Bear's is best known for?

Hello, hsamuels,
We're getting a bit off topic here, but I don't remember what Sue Clark, Mama Bear's owner and soapmistress, told me was her most popular soap scent. Perhaps she talks about it in this article I wrote on her. Here is the link:

I found the quantity of different soaps at Mama Bear's a bit overwhelming, as well. That said, I'd spring for a sampler pack and test a few of them out. So far, samplers have given me many shaves with many more to come, so I figure I could always do the same with MB soaps. That way, when I find a particular one I like, it goes on "the list" and I can buy a full puck in the future. I have bought a few full size soaps so far: Proraso (both the green and the white tubs), MWF (I bought the ceramic bowl and also a refill, so that should last me about 5 years ) and I am probably going to grab the T&H and the l'Occitane shaving soaps, given that they are both within a few minutes walking distance of work.
I can certainly have a go at reviewing the soaps I try, but my experience isn't exactly vast. I can only relate what I know and give feedback from my perspective as a rookie.

Thanked: 13245For me soap is all about glide...
MWF
Tabac
Velobra
Ogallala
Escecntial Himalaya shave soap
SRD
The Shave Den
Boot's
I have probably 30 more soaps but these are the only brands I have ever replaced, very very few soaps will stand the test of lathering Alone under the well water I have... Keep in mind it isn't a matter of whether the soaps are good or bad it just means that the water here is harsh
Williams, like Niftyshave pointed out is another staple in my den it is the 30-06 of shave soaps in my eyes, might not be the best, but it is very handy to have around

I'll play too:
EU Palmolive stick
Arko stick
MWF converted to stick
This is going to be the basis for my soap rotation and always be replinished.
Kiss My Face cream will be the only cream I keep around after my others are done. I've been checking out SRD lately and am curious about their soap, so I'll probably be getting a tub in the near future to give it a go.
