I just got a jar of this cream and I have to say that I'm disappointed with it. It says on the jar that it produces a rich creamy lather but no way for me. I've tried to lather with it using the usual method of a "dry" brush but the cream just dies on the brush. The vendor says the most guys use it brushless and then use a brush to work it in. This produces no lather for me. Any tips here gents?

They had a bad batch a while back. I contacted Booster Products, and a nice fellow by the name of David Kaufman sent me a replacement jar. If you need, I can send you his email. Just PM me if you want it.
    Hope this helps.

Yea, had a similar problem with a jar I got from the ItalianBarber's Canadian site. The JM Fraser's did lather but it was not thick, a bit pasty. but slick enough to give a good shave. The contents of the jar was not creamy like Maca Root or AOS creams but more like a Proraso. I emailed David Kaufman explaining the problem and that I had heard there had been a bad batch. He quickly responded and a new jar is on the way to me now. I am really looking forward to trying it out as even the off batch did provide a good shave.

Getting this kind of fast response and positive outcome is not always guaranteed in this day and age. For that I think Mr. David Kaufman deserves to be given much credit for standing behind his product.

I got mine from the Italian Barber as well. They have a policy that if a product is bad, you have to contact the manufacturer, not them. I wasn’t very happy with that ;-(

But David was a pleasure to deal with. Because of that, I will remain a loyal customer to them.

Completely agree on both counts. I can't say enough nice things about how Mr David Kaufman stepped up to the plate and handled things.

OK, got my replacement JM Frasers from Mr Kaufman this evening and have to say it lathered up just fine in a test face lathering. A nice thick and slick lather. All is well that ends well.

Just to follow up, I too have now received a replacement jar from Mr. Kaufmann. The cream he sent works as advertised. Thank you David Kaufmann. There is a noticeable difference between what I first received from my vendor and what I received from Mr. Kaufmann. The first tub has a very pleasant smell but a creamy texture like a woman's face cream. It doesn't lather. The Second sample has a much firmer texture to it, like butter but not as loose as the first sample. The scent on the second sample is very pleasant too, but not as strong. So what I take from this experience, in part, is that your source of this cream may determine the quality of the product you receive. This is too bad because when it works as advertised it is a very good shaving cream. 'nuff said.

Interesting. My tub (which is a few years old) has a very light, whipped cream consistency yet it lathers like a champ with surprisingly little product.

Oh well, it doesn't matter as long as we're happy with the product and it's performance
