Thanked: 1J. M. Frasers cream
I have a guy i winnipeg who supplies to barber shops. all he carries are creams and soaps that have no fancy jars so they are cost effective. he strongly suggested the frasers cream which is sented lime. wow this cream makes a rich lather that works extreemly well. the plus side is its 12$ a pound!! BOO YA! any comments on this brand are appreciated, as well as suggested brands for me to try that may be on par. negative input as well as im still a shaving apprentice.

Thanked: 1195TyGuy,
I have JM Fraser's Polar Ice shave cream and aftershave. A very underrated, great product. Whips into a fantastic lather with no effort at all, very user friendly. And considering it comes in an 8oz jar it's also very cheap. Can't go wrong.
As for comparisons, I suppose it's on par with many other fine creams, but costs probably half the price. Because it has a bit of a menthol kick I guess it could be compared to Proraso (?), but not as strong in the scent/menthol department.

Fraser's is probably the most heavily used cream in my rotation these days.

Thanked: 993I had a tub of the Oriental spice a couple years back and really enjoyed it. It's been out of rotation for a while now, and maybe it's time to put it back in.
Thanks for the idea!

Frasers cream is fantastic, I once had to leave in the middle of a shave, to bring my son to the hospital for stitches, and didn't have time to clean my bowl and brush, when I got home the next morning my bowl of lather was still lather. This cream is the best (IMO) at staying hydrated, I don't know why but it never dries out for me no matter how long my shave takes. You need to use a little more product than some of the high end creams but the tub is huge, and I find an almond size snurdle is plenty.

Thankfully not! Just ordered some from West Coast Shaving & Italian Barber carries it as well in the states. Not sure about Canadian retailers.
What they cancelled was the Booster-scented creams in the 225 ml jars; the 450 ml giant tub of the original cream is still being produced, along w/ the Booster A/S & hair products. I't s a pretty small company from what I understand, mainly selling to barber suppliers, so production is a little sporadic but it is still being made.
I'll report back when it arrives.
