Do you guys know whats the diameter of the MWF soaps? I have a 2.5 in diameter shaving mug, not sure if it will fit.

NVM, found it. Its 2.9 inch so it unfortunately won't fit into my shaving mug.

Today I got bored and drove out to Williamsburg to pick up some MWF bath soap. Man, I beginning to fall in love with this stuff. They did not have any of the shave soap at the store (London's Bathecary) but they have kept it in stock.

The mail man just delivered my MWF bath soap. I'm looking forward to this week's shower now.

Do you mean that folks out Cheyenne way take a shower every week?!? Haven't you ever heard the expression that, "Too much bathin' will weaken ya!"? I was a big Bigelow/Proraso fan and stocked up with four additional tubes. Then I got some Mitchell's wool fat soap and I have switched my allegiance. Shaving 101 has an interesting tutorial on how to get the best lather from MWFS. I just ordered another puck of shaving soap, a bar of bath soap and a bottle of shampoo. Now I'm getting nervous about having to watch over my shoulder after a shower and shave lest I be confronted by an amorous ram who might be attracted by the wool fat that will be covering me from head to toe. I will probably be trading off my tubes of Bigelow in the classifieds later on.

I finely grated mine and pressed it into a container. It hasn't cracked yet but I don't think cracking causes any issues with loading brushes. If anything it increases the surface area you are loading from...
Yup worked like a charm. The MWF is also so soft that I didn't even need water to help reconstitute the soap into the smaller container. It just presses all together like play-dough. I did the same grating/pressing with other bad brands of soap and they needed some help getting packed down in the form of hot water.
