Thread: VDH why not?

I had to give VDH a second chance. I now keep a puck of it on the sink to mix with creams to make super lather. Once I figured out how to get a good lather with my hard water VDH gives a great lather. The scent is subtle enough that any creams I pair with it mix nicely.
I do despise Williams for the scent alone. But VDH will keep a coveted spot on the sink with my more expensive soaps/creams.

Thanked: 270You are correct. You just need to figure out what a particular soap needs in terms of amount of water. Sometimes if one is hard to lather more and hotter water get the job done. They all work.
That is useful information for a beginner, because if they are like I was I tried mixing them up the right way.
Generally speaking, I have found that tallow-based soaps do better with more water and glycerin-based soaps do better with less water.

Nothing wrong with it. Just have enough to last a while so I can get something else to build up my collection I only have 5 different aftershaves, all classics. Gotta build my stockpile.
