    Default Arko shaving soap

    Hi guys,

Today I "test drived" the Arko shaving soap (stick), which I was eager to try. I found it great, easy lathering, nice scent, lasts for hours without drying and having to re-lather and the best, you can´t beat the price!

What do you guys think about it?

Arko is, in my opinion, one of the better soaps out there, regardless of price. Great, clean scent and lather that doesn't care if your water is hard or soft.

Great performer, but it stinks. Not my favorite.

I like the squeaky clean, no frills smell and it does a great job! I like soaps that are scented but this is a very nice change of pace. If this was the only soap available I would be just fine with it.

No complaints at all about Arko. It just plain works and is dirt cheap to buy, what more can you ask for. The scent seems to be the major source of complaint, you either like or don't and I like it. It is my travel soap because it doesn't care about water quality to work.

I ordered a stick after reading the 'too much Arko' thread, and it arrived today.

So I had a shave I didn't really need, just to see how it lathered up. At first I used too much water, but when I swirled the brush on the stick again and whipped that in, it was great. I like the smell, too, although it is a bit odd and not like any soap I've tried before.

I don't agree about it being cheap though - the soap itself is cheap, but my face is so smooth I'm going to have to take it into town tonight and pour beer into it.

Now that is the best excuse I have heard in a long time to have some wobbly pop.

Yeah that! The fact that you can buy a truckload of Arko shavesticks for around $20 is an added bonus.

I like the scent and performance. if you don't mind cheating, try adding a few drops of glycerin; it makes Arko even better!
