    I do both. Lathering in a bowl is a bit more to my liking but face lathering works well too.

    I last posted last November. Methods have changed. Switched to cold water shaving. Far less irritation and other problems. Sold the scuttle, use a plastic salsa bowl from Walmart ($1.50) modified with epoxy bumps and lines. Still do uber lathers and working on a method to have freezer cold shaves come hot summer.
