Used MWF for the second time today. I got a quarter of a puck sent to me and grated it into a little dish like I do with most of my soaps. Because of this, I have no issues loading the brush. Nice stuff.

I will always have MWF in my rotation, but for those who feel like there are better, less fickle options out there, I understand the sentiment. It is completely different for me if I am using hard vs soft water

I find this does tend to dry out if you don't get lathering right, some tallows suffer from this.
There is a definte knack I find when building a lather with this one, but once you have it down it's amongst the best out there.
There is no need to but I find when uberlathered with ingrams cream it is pure luxury.

Of course there is. The days you want to pamper yourself. The days when you feel you need extra cushioning. The days you feel it will lessen irritation. The days you feel it will give an extra close shave needed for a special occasion. ANd the most important of all, the days when its just for the hell of it because you can.

Thanked: 10Just used MWF for the first time tonight, scent was very mild but pleasant, lathered well for me (let the water of a freshly dunked badger brush fall on the top of the puck before entering the shower). I got an unexpected amount of irritation though. Could be the razor, ill try it again soon with a razor I know has a good edge, or it may be the soap, time will tell.

Thanked: 10Could be. Although last nights shave was far from average. I used a scritchy badger brush, I face lathered a little more aggressively than normal (testing the soap) and the Red Imp just was where it normally is. Lathering up before the second pass I got mild sting in certain areas, similar to what I get with Williams mug soap. I've always blamed the razor. I'm going to try cello, or Irisch moos tonight as I just got a big package in filled with my "want to try" soaps and go back to the MWF this weekend. Ill try and remember to update you folks with the results.

My MWF just arrived, going to give it a try in an hour or so.
Had a talk with the soap, said that it had better do a good job, that the PR it was getting was huge, and that it had a lot to live up to, and better not let me down, or the Italians in the others bowls would howl with laughter at it, flick their chins and call it a mangia-cake.

Phrank, my friend, if you have hard water, get some bottled water. Although MWF is fine by itself, and it might take a little extra swirling to get a good consistency, I add, to almost all the soaps/creams I use, 4 to 6 drops of glycerin and a couple drops of Vit E oil (your face will thank you after a week or two) and swirl to my hearts content. It is a little thin on your face at first but if you leave it on while you strop, remove it and swirl a little more and apply you will find a very nice , luxurious, cushion to go with a light pressure shave.
