You know... Panthers are due and if the Lightning can't pull it out (3 in a row is almost impossible post salary cap) I'll be behind them. But I predict it will either be Lightning or Panthers inll the final against Colorado.

Thanked: 556I’ve been a Maple Leafs fan for as long as I can remember. That makes me al long-suffering incurable optimist. Maybe next year, or the year after, or …

I know David. As much as I, of course, wanted my team to win I felt for the Leafs. They have had such a long streak of disappointments in the post season even though they've played well in the regular season. That has to be tough as a team as well as a fan. They have nothing to be ashamed of in this case though. They played a heck of a series against the Lightning. It was a truly commendable effort.

I've gotten some notifications about the IIHF games but haven't had a chance to watch any yet. I have been working or engrossed in the NHL playoffs but I want to catch some of those games. Sometimes I will watch KHL games on Hulu. It's interesting how different their games are from NHL games. As far as I can tell the rules are mostly if not all the same but the style of play is a little different. The NHL game seems more aggressive, more hitting and I don't think I have ever seen a fight in a KHL game. Of course I haven't watched that many. I think there's a beauty to the game.which the fighting and hitting interrupts. Also there don't seem to be as many penalties called as a result. That makes for more flow to the game and less interruptions.

Thanked: 3225Yes, the NHL games are more aggressive as in hitting and that obviously causes delays as penalties are called. Overall, I'd say international hockey is a faster more graceful game than the NHL version. I guess which you prefer to watch depends on whether you want to go and see a fight or an actual hockey game. The ice rinks are different sizes too.
