It certainly is an expensive outing. We go to Lightning games every once in a while but mostly preseason games. It's the same teams, same venue, same overpriced vending and same electric atmosphere but a fraction of the price.
We also go to minor league games which are a LOT cheaper. Nowhere near as fast paced or high adrenaline but still pretty fun. We just went last weekend and good seats were $50, spectacular seats were $115. Even pregame tickets to Lightning games are slightly north of that.
As far as these events go? Too rich for my blood. If I had disposable income I might for an extravagent splurge but even then not on any regular basis. I enjoy it just fine from my couch.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

Oh, EVERYONE in my house is watching. Everyone I have talked to is watching, even people who aren't fans. All this smack talk by the players also is like pouring gasoline on a bon fire. It has an almost WWE air to it.

To all you fans on both sides of the border, good luck to your team. Ought to be a game to tell your grandkids about.

I decided to see about watching it but I don't get ESPN.
Oh well I am sure I will hear about it and see highlights tomorrow.

Congratulations to team Canada and all their fans and supporters. That was some fine hockey, a hard foght match. You better all appreciate your goalie. He gave you a chance because the USA team were all over him like a bad suit especially in overtime but he kept enough of them out to give them a chance to win.

Thanked: 13249It was a Great Game right up until we lost hehehe
I couldn't believe the the Shot counts were nearly identical through all 3 periods
OT the US put 7:2 on net but the one that counted went in
Great saves from Canada"No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"

Thanked: 3228Sometimes it is not the volume of shots on net but how good they are. Then there is always luck too. Yea, the Canadian goaltender was exceptional especially in OT. Then there is always luck there too. Happy we won. Now trump can go puck himself over the comments he made earlier in the day regarding the game and Canada becoming the 51st state plus tariffs.
