I think this thread is morphing into "the weirdest surface you've ever stropped on." You guys do realize that if normal people looked at threads like this, they would come after us with the butterfly nets andstraigh-jackets, right? Anybody ever strop on a cat? Or a firehose, perhaps?

I never take a strop as I travel, I usually take a Friodur and/or a Hess 44, well-tuned. I can go a few weeks like that, if needed.

Thanked: 24maybe SRD should put that on the market, a stropping quality lether belt. Just at a note to not use any CrOx on it :P

Any flat piece of leather I can find. A belt, thumb of a baseball glove, side of my boot, my assless chaps. The belt is the only one I've actually tried, just saying I would use the others if it was an Emergency.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....
