My belt...but I'm seldom without my Unicorn Hide strop...puts a magical edge on my blades!

I too have used Levi's. Either on me or hanging up.

My wife has put up with a lot of shaving related stuff, I think if I tried to strop a blade on her lag she'd call a therapist! I think this might be asking too much, SWMBO would probably withhold all baked goodies for a year!

If I thought I had to use something in an emergency and I couldn't shave without stropping I'd use a ...DE

I have yet to forget my strop, but jeans and/or palm would be my first choice. That unless I for some wicked reason should have put a DE in my dopp kit instead of the strop.

Sometimes I've used a leather belt. This is at work where sometimes I've packed a razor, when it's a weekday and I didn't have time to shave at home. I've used my forearm but on the multiblade plastic Gilletes. This was when I was on the road to straights around late 2010. I made one last almost a year.

Just grab ahold of the window curtain and give it a good stretch, then start stropping.

Or a thickness of newspaper wrapped around a hardcover book.

Palm strop. One time, in a hotel, they had one of those thick canvas blankets at the foot of the bed. It was a real nice hotel and looked and felt like linen so I folded it a stropped away. Yep! Worked well.

When I was in London and the bag with my stop ended up in Barcelona I used the pants leg of my jeans.
    Newspaper works well too.
