I have room in my technique for both hanging and bench strops...

In between shaves it's a hanging Tony Miller all the way.

But as a final finisher, it's a paddle or bench strop. It's very Zen-like for me to put the paddle on my thigh and go slow and light for a hundred or so strokes. I seem to get mesmerized watching the turn between strokes.

On the other hand, the hanging strop speaks a subliminal message that encourages me to go fast.
