I have 2 SRD strops and love them both. If I could only keep one it would be english bridal without a doubt.

Out of all my strops, my 2" Illinois 827 is by far my favorite, for the leather and the linen. It's got lots of draw to it, stays nice and flat, and is just a good, simple, go-to strop. There might be better strops out there, but I don't own them.

I only have 2 strops, both SRD's, the premium leather and English bridle. I like the premium leather best, because the draw is perfect for me, but I got the English bridle with the premium fabric as a secondary strop. The premium leather strop has the poly-webbing as a secondary strop, but I greatly prefer the premium fabric. The poly-webbing has a stiff, plastic feel to it, which doesn't suit me. Where is all this rambling going? If I were to use only 1 strop, it would be the SRD premium leather with the premium fabric as a secondary.

If I had to resort to one strop I probably would lose interest in SR shaving

For the most. Part, you. Guys are talking about currently produced strops, and there's nothing wrong with that, but if I. Could have only one strop it would be my vintage " Deep Cut".
OTOH I'm with Jimmy, perish the thought of only one! (Shudders)

When it comes to strops, I have two. But I really only use one, my Tony Miller. For me it's perfect.
