They're technically gunbelts for the concealed carry crowd, but they're about 2" wide, double layer, stitched and glued, with a plastic stiffener between the two pieces of leather. They're also very good general-purpose non-dress belts, because they're made like a tank. I've worn mine every day for about 6 years and it shows very little wear or distortion. Mine is unstamped so it's suitable for stropping.

Interesting. I was thinking 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" width. Just a nice thick strip of leather, no stitching or stamping. The stiffness of those belts would be a definite plus though.

I used to have a Filson belt that would have made a great strop. Damnned crazy ex got ahold of my paramedic scissors...
