Tony at least used to sell upgrade kits if you wanted to add a handle to your strop.

I have both a starter strop and an heirloom strop with the seperate canvas. Having the cavas seperate is not necesssarily a good thing. I find that while I'm stropping on one strop, the other one is hanging down and swinging around a bit. Not a problem at all, but just giving you a perspective on possible give and takes of the strops.

Personally , I really like the integrated handle of the starter strop, as there is nothing to run into whilst stropping (aside from your hand........don't ask...).

Or go out and buy another one!
No it has the handle but the canvas is screwed to the leather at the handle as well as the hanging end. The canvas had shrunk slightly and needs to be streached out to match the leather. right now it leaves a little "slop" in the leather.
