Yeah, I figured that out after Chris' post and I got the search terms I needed to find the places that stocked that type of hardware. I used d-ring and d ring initially and they weren't helpful at all.

Saddle/tack shops have the actual strop hangers rather than D rings which I've seen they have in spades?

I have a saddle/tack shop nearby; it's huge and takes up 4 floors of a large old building. No strop hangers to be had there.

Tandy Leather does indeed have the hardware you are looking for, however, I cannot advise doing business with them, their customer service is appalling. Most of the swivels and such you are looking for can be found at your local hardware store.

I checked at lowes and didn't see them, but maybe I missed them.

Whats the story with Tandy leather?

There's not really a gentlemanly way to tell the story, so I won't. Suffice to say I will not spend money there again. OTOH, dewey has had very good experiences there, so YMMV.

In all fairness to Tandy Leather Co., in general, I think their service probably depends on who is running it in your area locally. Yes, they all should be consistent. Perhaps they are not.

I deal with Tandy Leather Co. in Boise, Idaho, and they are absolutely terrific.

Prolly so. But I can't recommend the one in Fort Worth.

Don't remember the specifics, all I can say is that I googled the names of some of the items on the pages you liked to (mainly to compare prices) and there were a whole lot of saddle stores that came up in the search. I think there were swivel rings, but they were 1 inch at the largest-but then again they may have come up in some different stores and I'm just grouping them together in memory. It was a few days ago. I'm not sure if I found any that were the 2+ inch swivels.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they had the smaller ones, I remember thinking "Well, I hope they have these for Clydesdale saddles."
