+1 Mike....I rub mine with the palm of my hand. I have a TM 3" Red Latigo. Keep rubbing it with your hand to help break her in. If it's a problem, Tony's a great guy. I'm sure he'd swap it out for you, If he has any, which he probably doesn't.
Tony's always say's not to rub any oils in it I think. You coud try laying it out flat, and putting some heavy books or something on the wavy area to help flaten it....We have assumed control !
