I have cerium oxide powder here, but only a 1 - 2 micron.
Actually I intended to use it for polishing.

My order is in. What a board! I can't wait to experiment. It could be that the YC is a mixture of Cerium and Gugolz Optical Lapping Pitch to make the bar.

From the Permalox users' manual: Premalox Ceria should be mixed in dionized water in concentrations of 3 to 5 % by weight using a non foaming suspending agent.
I suppose dionized should be deionized. But then it will have to be mixed with a suspending agent. Any thoughts as to what that should be?Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr.
