when will it be applied again if this experiment is still ongoing

New spray at the beginning of the experiment, and new spray every other Sunday for this...

since you are using a hanging strop and not a paddle strop on days when you use it to touch up the razor do you still do your 25/50 on a SRD-1 or do you do less regular stropping and if so is it less on the webbing, the leather or both?

25/50 every single time right before the razor touches my face

Is 15 on the .50 and 20 on the .25 the normal progrssion you would take? that is more laps on the finer paste then the coarser paste

I don't really have a normal progression for the .25 Diamond I only use it on my personal razors and only some of them...But that is the route I would take if I were using it...

In your opinion for using the SRD Felt hanging strop of the available sprays and paste are .50 and .25 optimal for touch ups or would 1.0 and .5 be just as good and going to the .25 just be personal preference?

Yes I think for actual touch ups you have it right the 1.0 and the.50 would be better

How does the diamond spray performance compare to diamond paste? and can diamond paste be used on a hanging type strop or is the paste best used on paddle strops?
I would use the paste on a leather hanger or leather paddle.. The spray is fantastic on the felt/fabric strops either hanging or bench style...

The felt seems to take some of the harshness out of the diamonds whether it be paste or spray....

I think the key attribute of the felt that contributes to this is the hard textured surface allows most of the abrasive to settle into areas where the blade won't touch it, or at least won't touch it with very much pressure. Roughout leather (like the old Hand American pasting strop) and linen are similar - you have to really apply it with a spatula to overpaste them to the point where things get harsh or even dull.

Default Whoops I missed a Tuesday post

    Tuesday the 29th

5 shaves for the week and the same routine on Sunday...

Honestly this is getting boring as hell

But I will stick with it

My plan is too keep going until either I get a failure or I have gone so far as I can't take the boredom anymore...
I will then send the razor out to Gugi so he can take some good magnified pics of the edge then he can test shave it.. Then put it on a his Naniwa 12k and do a few laps and take some more pics and see if we can see what is happening...

    Exclamation The numbers so far!!!!

    Here we go fight fans:

Shaves as of this morning = 26
    Laps on .50 diamond = 105
    Laps on .25 diamond = 140
    Laps on linen = 650
    Laps on leather = 1300

Shaves continue to be smooth and close, there is NO bite at all, the razor does not seem to be degrading yet....
    So far so boring.....

    I will continue

    Default The Experiment continues !!!

    Another 4 weeks gone by:

One week in there I was testing one of the new Hart razors so I only got in 1 shave with the Kamisori...

    Totals as of today...
    42 Shaves
    Laps on .50 = 165
    Laps on .25 = 220
    Laps on Linen = 1050
    Laps on Leather = 2100

Razor shows no signs on wear, tear, or stopping....
Shaves continue to be close and comfortable...

Zip Zip zip, up and down the strop we go, where she'll stop, nobody know...
