Thanked: 2I now have the tennis elbow support arm band with pillow! And, I lowered my strop so that it is about the height of my elbows and will be horizontal when I use it. I'm ready to face the world! Well, at least face the shaving mirror, once again!

Thanked: 433Having had tendinitis in both elbows, those elbow brace/wraps work great. Now I'm super aware of the repetitive motions that bring it on and change how I do things at the first sign of pain.

Thanked: 2The elbow wrap (on the forearm really) makes a difference. I stropped this AM with the brace on and the strop lowered. That was also much better, though I can't say which change (or both?) made the difference.
Thanks, all!

Thanked: 2I can see me running into someone:
Friend: What's the funny thing on your arm?
Me: It's a wrap for tennis elbow.
Friend: How long has your wife been mad at you?
Me: She's not mad at me. Unless you know something I don't.
Friend: I figured that anyone who got tennis elbow in the winter got it masterbating

As has been said, it probably is a case of squeezing too hard and 'trying too hard'. Just relax, because it really shouldn't hurt.
Also, at what height do you have your strop? I use my strop hanging at just a bit above hip height. The higher it is, the more strenuous stropping gets for me.

Thanked: 2Thanks. I had the top just below shoulder height. On the suggestion of someone else in this thread, I lowered it to just above hip height.*
I'll try to relax. Thanks.
Paul
* Reminds me of the movie version of "Educating Rita" where Rita (Julie Walters) called Dr Bryant (Michael Caine) a "geriatric hippie" :-)
