Characterizing plain leather with grit is in the same league as selling magnetic steel razors and claiming they are better or advertising Manganese Steel as something special when all (typical) steel has it. it's all a marketing ploy for the uninitiated.

Whatever, means so little to me at this point. I'm not snapping at anyone, just expressing frustration.

This is the only strop I have and its effed.

I'm trying to be patient and wait for a vendor reply, but my first razor is due back from Lynn and Don's tomorrow. I'm *not* going to use that strop on it. So, basically, its going to be a one and done there. Now I'm concerned that the other razor I have that was shave ready, may have been stropped out of shape using this strop... I'll find out tomorrow when I shave.

Just be patient and see what happens...

Maybe look into other strops for next time. I've strongly considered the SRD modular paddle strop many times.

Only reason I got my rich man strop from Larry is because I was already buying a razor from him so I figured what the heck. Although I got a defect (twice), he's going above and beyond and back again to make it right. I'm even thinking of posting his email on my thread so everyone can read what he said. Idk who runs star shaving or what kind of person they are but as long as you're protected by paypal, everyone deserves the chance to make things right.

Thanks, kwifca. I'm going to need a strop and on the cheap.

I tried to put classic shaving on there too, look them up, but something isn't working.

Buying cheap isn't cheap if you have to buy it twice...just saying, I've been there...
