Thanked: 28Anyone have any interesting ways to hang their strop?
I have pretty cheap and unsteady towel hangers in both bathrooms, and no drawer handles. I was wondering how you gents situate yourselves for comfortable stropping.

The simplest and handiest for most folks is to bump up the pin on the middle door hinge. That gives a capped pin at the top of the hinge which is plenty strong and doesn't take up space. Now I have a simple screw-in hook by my sink at belt level and that works for me. I like the longer bent wire screw in hook because it goes all the way into the house framing and has a little bit of spring to it.
Not a cup hook but a solid wire heavier than a coat hanger by far.
Have fun on your shaving path!

Thanked: 247Mine is not all that interesting, but I made a para cord lanyard that holds a ring on the towel bar right outside my shower. I simply clip my strop to this ring for use and un clip it for storage outside the bathroom.

Thanked: 28I'll have to check with the boss on the bent wire screw, but my bathroom has 3 doors to choose from definitely a good temp solution

I did what Richard did. I bought two for my two strops, held them at a comfortable height and then found the stud and secured them.

I screwed a heavy duty picture hook into my bathroom window sill, works great. For my paddle strop I sit at the table watching TV and rest the strop on my knee, to give me a comfortable angle.

I attach them to the bathroom door handle with plastic zip ties, just close the door & strop, my shave den is a crampted bathroom.

I used the screw hook the same as others but I fixed it by opening the cupboard under the sink and finding a good spot in the cupboard at the edge of the top so when the door is shut it is not visible. This very much pleased swimbo as she wants none of my stuff out where it can be seen.
