Wish I would have known this last summer when I found myself staring at this green compound at the hardware store thinking hey this looks like CrOx. I'll try it on my razor. So I guess that's why my shaves aren't smooth. Thank you. I will be looking into purchasing some real CrOx.

I understand the OP is looking for a Crayon CrOx but I just wanted to throw this into the mix. For $3.00 Larry at whippeddog.com will send you enough CrOx powder to last you a life time and it works like a charm. He also has FeOx (iron oxide) which is even less abrasive and IMO works as good as CrOx. I have both but end up using mainly the Iron Oxide. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks to all for your recommendations. Ultimately, I decided to try the stuff from Maggards. Hopefully, it's what I need to get the job done.

Thanked: 8
can anyone verified his stuff is legit? I mean it could be pure chromium oxide but is the quality up to snuff and are the particles uniform.
it's just when you say $3 will get you enough for a life time I can't help but take a step back and think, what's the catch, why is he able to sell that much for that cheap when no one else is. when all of the other sellers seem to hover around the $13-$19 mark for 3-4oz.
I can think of three things,
1. he either has some weird connection to a provider on a level that no one else does. and therefore can get it cheaper than anyone else which means he can sell it cheaper than anyone else.
2. there's something off about his product, low quality, impure, bulk order from china, ect ect.
3. he sells it for very little to no profit.
so it's one of those things that if it sounds too good to be true it is. theres got to be something to it.Last edited by keokitsune; 02-15-2014 at 07:59 AM.
