Heck with the dog collar, how about the dog? A nice hairless chihuahua is small enough to take anywhere when you travel Obie and you can use him as the strop and he'll keep the bad guys away too.

    I like the dog collar.

My travel hookup is a zip tie. Cheap and if i forget to take it off the motel towel rack no big loss.

A horse hide auto strop is ideal to my mind but only half the width you want. I used this one for ages before gifting it to a nomadic type.

My ideal travel strop is the palm of my hand.

I usually take along a Hess 44 and palm strop it after 10 shaves. On extended holiday, of course!

    Badgister and Sharpton,

I, too, am fond of palm stropping. For the past few years, I have finished my pre-shave stropping with about 50 strokes on the palm of my hand. The palm of the hand is a pretty good strop: portable and free.
