    Figure that out.
Just took a shot at left handed (non dominant hand) stropping. Not to hijack the thread I've started another ......... thanks to Slasher for giving this old man another aspect of this sport to pursue

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I started making strops, because I couldn't afford one of Neil's beauties at the time. In the end, making my first Shell Cordovan strop probably cost me about as much as if I'd just hit 'BUY' on one of his... So I didn't gain anything, other than a desire to continue making strops! I don't pretend for one second to be at Neil's level, in terms of shear knowledge and design ability. But I certainly aspire to be.

Thank you Vas, for your kind comments about your strop - I'm really glad that you are enjoying it!

    Best Regards,

    Alastair.
I for one, am glad you decided to make strops.
You obviously have a talent for it, keep doing what your doing, it's all good.

Dissing him? I dont even know him, or his product - how could I 'diss' him???? Hs work looks good to me, somewhat like my own when I first started. He has never said anything bad about me, so why should I say anything negative about him.

Seems to me your view is very easily polarised - I should have guessed that 'dissed' was not the problem, but 'pi$$ed' was!

Totally unaffected and not dissing anyone - yet,

Very nice strop. I like the D rings.
I have some old rigging "D"s like that but they are attached to a saddle that's older than most of my razors.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
