Shelly
O.k so my new strop arrived yesterday and i must say i am in love, she is gorgeous,a lovely piece.
I ended up doing 30 passes on the linen, and 70 on the the leather, i call it a 100%. And also 20/20 after my shave.
I was stropping along and she was singing my song, what a connection we had, and yes i must say very therapeutic.
So it's a 3" shell with linen, and believe me i will be using every inch of it, "i'm sure i read somewhere that a 3" is wasted leather",well not if i have anything to do with it, i change hands every stropping session, so it will, wear even.
I would like to thank you Alastair,Westholme strops, for making this beautiful piece for me, the craftsmanship is top notch.
What else can i say, but recommend this to anyone who is interested in a shell cordovan strop.

I'm only kidding. Obviously you know what you are doing. TBH, stropping with my dominant hand only I still occasionally nick the edge of a strop superficially. Scuff them up..... my really expensive and lovely strops, or my really nice vintage ones, don't see to much use because of that. Mores the pity.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
