I have a SRD Roo too! lol. Like the guys said its thin, no special treatment needed. Mine came with two minor creases in it from shipping somehow. I had to massage the leather by hand quite a bit, used a wet towel on the front and back, got the strop damp, wiped off excess moisture, massaged the leather and then let it dry hanging. I had to repeat the process every few days till the crease was worked out. I am not sure if mine needed a break in period or I needed time to get used to its draw. My initial reaction was unfavorable, felt slick and pebbly, but I kept her in the strop rotation and after a few weeks it felt better. I hope you like yours!

I guess maybe it creased because it's so thin? I know srd ships their strops in flats so that's weird.

Yup, the box seemed fine when it arrived. That picture is the before pic, the strop is nice and even now.

Yeah, I can set a nice one about halfway up. Glad it came out easily with that one. I ordered 2 strips, so hopefully they'll be snug enough to avoid that. Probably overkill, but I like to change the hardware around so the leather and felt both hang on their own rings. So basically I'll end up with a spare Roo hide, a felt and some handle hardware. Makes it easier to flip them over as I like to treat one side of the felt. Last time I was using a diamond spray but this time I thought I'd order some Crox spray & see how I liked it instead. Never messed with Crome oxide except the paste type on a balsa plank. If I don't like it I've got the extra felt to go back to diamond spray for touch ups.

Cool. Just FYI I found the Crox on SRD rock hard felt to be very, very aggressive. Unfortunately after tinkering around with the Crox, pressure, number of laps etc...I determined my face simply doesn't like it. Same thing with my diamond sprays, but I have a pretty sensitive face. I replaced the felt with their nylon webbing and use it clean. Overall its a nice product at a reasonable price.

Diamond on felt worked pretty well for me in the past for extending the life of a hone, just thought I'd try the Crox to see if I liked it more.

The strop arrived yesterday afternoon. You guys really weren't kidding about how thin they are! They feel super fast too, it'll take me a while to get used to that.

Gonna try to drop my box of razors in the mail today. We have to go to Tyler, bout an hour and a half away, and beg the prosthetist to make me a new socket. The one that's on my leg right now is getting to be too big to keep on. Lots of trouble keeping it fitting just right. Anyways, I'm hoping we'll find a usps Dropbox along the way. It already has the shipping label.
