The leather piece stays inside its case until its time for the magic to happen

I went online and got a really nice hook from Restoration Hardware. Now my strop hangs in the bathroom separating my shave area from what I call Soap City.

This dragonfly hook found at Lowes a while back mounted on the windowsill works a treat with welded rings on the strops.

They have also been installed on either side of the tub and at either side of the bed for towels, robes... Great hooks!

There are some really neat hanger styles in here.

The leather strap with ring stays on the door knob and is easy to remove and take with me when traveling. I keep the strop hanging in a dry place outside the bathroom when not in use.
