Great looking strop there
As to the numbers, besides the 80 & 90 being longer and having the suede. As I remember, the quality was determined by Naomi San by touch, and he graded them. Hence the number is placed by his discretion as to the hides quality. The higher the quality, the higher the numberLook sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz

I think it had something to do with the thickness of the leather. At least thats what i remember reading. Maybe.
It's just Sharpening, right?

I agree Jerry, but the thickness was also part of the grading quality.
If I remember, the thicker cordovan was a higher quality. Since it is more like a muscle than skinLook sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz

Well I recieved a gift card so could't purchase it from https://www.aframestokyo.com/razorstrop.html so I ended up getting it from https://www.fendrihan.com/collection...ors?q=Kanayama. I would like to mention that if this package wasnt shipped by USPS the strop would have been destroyed. For such a nice strop I was a little pissed about the packaging. But again can't say enough good things about the USPS, those guys are the unsung heroes of wet shaving.

You will enjoy your Kanayama strop. Be very careful with it and take your time as you strop. No more pressure than the weight of a butterfly. Good choice!!!
Proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance.

Thanked: 96I have the 50,000 and I love the feel of the razor against the leather. The only other strop with leather like the Kanayama would be my Mastro Livi. It really gives a polished edge and a smooth shave. Definitely the Rolls Royce of strops. Looking to get a 70,000 when back in stock.
