Jimmy, if you're ever anywhere near Medina, Ohio let me know, and you can play with any of my strops... Figured I'd offer..

If not, I still recommend the bridle... It's good to try it out before hand, but I highly doubt you /could/ be disappointed with this strop.

    Good luck!

    Jeremy

Thanks Jeremy, Highly unlikely that I will be up that way but I do appreciate the offer. Refresh my memory, I know you've posted it in the past but what is the draw on the bridle like compared to the premium 1 ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Depending on how broken in yours is, the bridle is like latigo, only more... well... "Premium". If you've used it, the Bridle is Premium I + Premium III... If you haven't used the Premium III, imagine your Latigo is as broken in as it could ever be (I'm talking decades of use, proper application of Neatsfoot oil, glycerin lather, appropriate sanding, rubbings with glass bottles, give that thing 10-20 years of spa treatment) and then take that perfect latigo, and make it more velvety, a richer texture and an elegant draw that screams "Premium"...

Good use of adjectives, Jeremy. Why, thank you, Jeremy

It's like the Latigo had a bit heavier of a draw, but less sticky... Like, it feels like the razor is more "attached" to the stop (pseudo magnetism) without it actually feeling heavy draw-wise... I'm assuming this is what the term feedback refers to... I can't think of a better expression except "velvety". While the Premium I is like stropping across Butter (for smoothness) the Premium IV is like stropping on smooth, velvety leather...

That's all I got... Sorry for the rambling, it's late

I just don't like a strop that has so much draw it feels like it wants to snatch the razor out of my fingers. I'm uncomfortable stropping with draw like that. Kind of the feeling of being in heavy traffic going 60 miles per hour in dense fog with cars ahead and behind. Afraid to keep going but don't want to stop either.
