Thanked: 530Bridle is the Dark Brown one that has lighter "marbling" of browns through it (at least, mine does) and the Premium I is the lighter, solid shade tan.
The Bridle on the paddle has a different draw feeling from the hanging version... it's really unique and performs spectacularly!
God, I love strops!

Thanked: 12SZ- thank you- I thought the darker one was a latigo its so smooth-
Going to spray the felt one more time tomorrow but not sure I need to
use it yet- I must have made over 15 shaves with NO strop work on the Dovo 55, didn't want to use my starter strops-
Then Domino blessed me with a TM.

Well -- I've never been known to let a good bandwagon

I couldn't decide between the English Bridle, (long of course) and the #1, so I got both.
Both are awesome. Normally, I'll do 25 on the webbed fabric, followed by 25 on Bridle, and finish with 25 on the Premium 1. I still can't decide between them....That's why I do half and half, it works well on my blades. My other strops are collecting dust...We have assumed control !

+1 on the English Bridle. I have not used latigo since.

People that follow my posts or asked me for my advise know that I have said it over and over again for as long as I've owned them but the premium 1 and bridle (premium 4) strops are my most and only used strops. They both compliment each other perfectly.

I have one of the SRD English Bridle hanging strops too and it is awesome. I would recommend it.

Thanked: 530From the horse's mouth no offense, Max.
I love these strops... the big problem is, since I got bridle and Premium I on the modular paddle, the hangers are now collecting dust... However, the Bridle on the paddle, while being phenomenal, is, in my opinion, a little worse than the hanging version... NOT FOR PERFORMANCE. It performs just as well as it's hanging brother, but I like the feel of the draw on the hanger better, feels more velvety... On the paddle it's more... Sticky? More of a "ziiiip" than a "sssshhh", if that makes more sense...
