I put MAAS on the Webbing and do about 10 strokes. wipe the blade do 50 on the leather and then if I have time I will do 40 on a rolled up newspaper...frightlenly sharp.

I have the SRD fabric/leather combo strop. I basically use a 1:2 ratio ( 20 on fabric, 40 or so on the leather ). Its like any aspect of straight razor shaving, put some time and thought in , and your technique will improve.

I do 40+ fabric then 60+ leather depending on what kind of moof/how much time I want to spend stropping. Both of the strops that I have, an Illinois and aSRD red latigo both had the fabric seconds so I just figured "it's there might as well use it".

So far just leather. Have to read up on stropping with leather/linen.
