    Default strop

I have a 2 1/2 inch wide top grain cowhide strop which is attached to a 1960's Dubl-Duk double sided linen strop with the original German hardware that was gifted to me by jerry sell.

Mostly my own hand mades, a 3" Red Latigo, a 2.5" Horsehide, and a 2.5" slick cowhide. Those plus an Illinois 206.

Built the horsehides not long ago, 2.5" by around 18" or so. Simple, no fabric, barber style handles. Mine is the short one on the left.

I just went to a leather shop and bought a 2" wide strip that the maker would normally use to make a belt. I have no idea what kind of hide it is but it works fine.

Maybe something else would work better and I just don't know it.

I have one strop, an Illinois #827 Russian leather strop with linen. I'm looking to get another strop this year.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.
