I did 10 passes on the CrOx-on-felt pad, then 150 on the Premium I leather. The shave was better today.

However, my concern is that I may have too much CrOx spray on my felt pad. I wouldn't say that it's light green, and the pad is rather hard and crusty, even a little lumpy. Should I be getting another felt pad, or is there some way to safely wash it out?

I was very impressed. this the most efective cro.ox (spray) i have tryed. i have used other cronium oxides and while they work fine the spray was far better in experiance. the spray is easy to apply and it seems to gel well with the felt, producing a silky smooth edge with nice keeness. if any one is considering trying it, you won't be disapointed.

I have the SRD Rock Hard Wool Strop with 0.5 micron crox spray on it. And it ROCKS!

Usually, the lumpy comes from getting too much CrOx on the felt. It can be worked out eventually. If you use a very light touch though, the strop should be very functional for touch ups and final honing. You really don't need much on the felt. Just enough to start seeing the color with the chromium oxide.

    Have fun,

Is the felt supposed to be used in two directions like a regular strop? When I use mine, it's nice and smooth in one direction, then on the way back it picks up the grain of the felt and the CrOx powder flies off the material.
Do you guys only use it in one direction, with the grain, requiring you to switch hands for each side of the blade? Or do you just get used to the feel of going against the grain of the felt? It doesn't seem like that would be good for putting a nice edge on the blade.

    Any suggestions?

Use it in both directions. I use mine with .50 diamond spray and strop like you would normally, I get great edges on my blades, Next level stuff.
    We have assumed control !
