You won't lose them if you do a thorough last look around your hotel room before you walk out the door.

That's easy for you to say. The problem was the ony place I could hook it was in the back of the bathroom door. The next day when I was leaving I looked around and of course with the door open the strop was hidden.

Ah yes, I know what you are saying, but you don't know me. I've travelled a bit, stayed in more than my fair share of Motel rooms, and so I look everywhere, including under beds, behind doors, ledges and numerous nooks and crannies. My last check of a room would be akin to a security check before the arrival of a VIP. I've learnt from experience. I take out only what I need to use, and as much as possible, put it back in my bag when I finish with it. That's overkill 99% of the time, I know, but I've only ever left one thing behind in my travels, and vowed not to make the same mistake twice.

Yeah I usually am pretty religouse about my sweep. Apparently not this time.

I do plan on leaving my new Chinese strop in the room though, for the next guy.
