Thanked: 1195Perhaps you guys get better service out East . Here it routinely takes 2 weeks+ for a package to arrive, and that's from the States, not international. Read the SRP Thater brush thread, you'll see that members on the other side of the world were getting their product long before me. Compare that to US members who ship stuff across state lines and it only takes a day or two....
But to be fair Canada Post surprised the hell out of me last week. One of our fine members in Vancouver sold me a DE razor and it only took two days to arrive (thanks celestino ). On the other hand, I've hand mail sent from my grandparents take 4x as long to arrive - and they live 15 minutes away!
Take care,
Ryan

Thanked: 1263Sounds about right...I've had a razor arrive from Germany quicker than one shipped from Ontario...lol.

99% of the time, when you mail a letter in the U.S. (First Class Mail, your zip code) The recepient has it the next day. It's called "EXFC" The post office keeps track of all these numbers, and try's to improve upon them. In Nelson's case, I'm betting the pharmacy sent his package at the close of business, eliminating one day. So, Processed one day, delivered the next. That's the norm, at least for now. Once they get 5 day delivery approved, and start laying off people, it will be worse than it is now. Yes, It can get a lot worse.
Even with the little mishaps, I'm still convinced the USPS is the best bang for the buck, especially Prority mail. I do a good deal of Conus and Int'l shipping. I haven't had any problems in the last 5 years. YMMV. My choice is Priority mail for most things.
For comparison, I just had meds delivered by UPS Next day air from the the VA (local, about 15 mins from my house). They were sent on Feb 2nd. I got them yesterday, the 7th.Last edited by zib; 02-08-2012 at 04:22 PM.

Thanked: 146Try this! I live in an old farm house. My brother lives downstairs, and I live up. One of my other brothers lives a 1/4 mile down the road. This has made for some interesting deliveries...but overall I am surprised they don't have more mistakes.

Thanked: 247I usually like USPS. I'm a little frustrated currently, as I ordered something for Oregon, and it's been sitting in NC for 3 days now. But I'm sure it'll get here eventually. Not sure how it flew from one coast to the other without finding me in the middle, but neither is the post office, so I'm just guessing it's on a truck somewhere...

This gives me the willies, as I'm expecting day old live chicks any day now, and if they get hung up anywhere I'm gonna have... uh... dead day old chicks, and my dreams of fresh eggs will die with the chicks.

They are killin me! Last 2 sales tax payments (free tax collecting service!) were a day late cause the PO postmarked them the day after. They were out in the mailbox at the PO on the due date in the morning. Shoulda been postmarked at least 2 times. 225.00 in penalties and such from the state. They wonder why they are broke. I surely am.....
