A++++ Obie, TM makes such a great strop, all one needs to do is to pet it, and your razor will purrrrr!

I've known Tony for a while now, We used to speak often. He's a good guy, and makes a fine product. Just to echo what's already been said, The only thing you need to do with the leather, is rub it down with the palm of your unwashed hand. The natural oils will condition it for you without changing the draw. His strops are fine the way they are and need no alterations. Same with the linen/cotton component. Keep it pristine, the way it is. Do not treat your daily strop with pastes or sparys as this cannot be undone.

If you wish to use pastes or sprays, I'd suggest buying a Wool felt and linen strop from SRD. These are the best in my opinion for that, or their paddle with interchangeable sides.

I have the same strop with the green cotton for the back strop. I think it's the finest strop made. Mine has an exceptional light and smooth draw. My only strop with a lighter draw is my horsebutt, and some may find that too slick. Anyway, I strop 50 on the cotton and 100 on the leather. This may be more than necessary - probably past the point of diminishing returns. But I enjoy stropping and this routine keeps my razors sharp and away from the hones.
