Thanked: 0Thanks Minnebrew, I actually took a small bit of CrOx crayon and mixed it in a small glass bowl with olive oil, it's turning into a paste nicely! I will let it sit overnight so the oil can break the clumps up further before I clean my strop off and try that strategy for a nice coat!

Are you sure you want to use a natural oil? It'll eventually go rancid and stink... I would use a synthetic oil

Thanked: 0So I took your advice, not only will the synthetic oil (I used 3-in-1 oil) not spoil, it broke the clumps up faster and I was able to apply it to the strop already! I'm very satisfied with my results this way! I crumbled off about enough to equal a pencil eraser and mixed it into the oil, dipped my finger in and drew horizontal lines (alternating the smear direction up and down) until it was hash marked, then rubbed it in with my palm. Here's the results.
