I have detailed instructions from a former member "ChrisL" who used to sell the Hand American Crox.
If you pm me, I'll send them to you when I get home. (I'm at work now)

    dzacca,

I have had good success just dusting the felt surface with 0.5 micron CrOx powder; you need to do this in a well ventilated space and it would be wise to wear a dust mask.

    Have fun !

    Hi PhatMan,

the CrOx powder I plan to buy is this one: 100g Chromium Oxide Straight Razor Strop Paste Pigment | eBay, I saw that in other thread other users mentioned this one does the job.

    dzacca,

I apply the CrOx to the felt using a soft large make up brush; dip the tip of the brush in the CrOx, and gently brush the felt. This is definitely best done in good ventilation and wear a dust mask as you do not want to breath in the CrOx powder !!

As others have said, you only need a light dusting

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

    Terasol,

You can even out the crayon type CrOx applications with a peice of kitchen paper moistened with lighter fuel (I use Ronson).

IIRC Mastro Livi uses a rag wetted with gasoline

    Have fun !

    Best regards

I don't really have lighter fluid on hand, what would you think about isopropyl alcohol instead? Here's hoping...

    Terasol,

Just tried some isopropyl alcohol with the Livi CrOx crayon, and it seems to disperse it well

Use the alcohol sparingly on the cloth.

Have fun & a Happy New Year !

    Best regards
