I purchased a strop and brush from their website on the 17th of this month, received an email from a bot stating my order was received and one that my payment was accepted through paypal. Since then I haven't received any communication from the store; nothing regarding a shipment, or a delay, or even a "thank you, we'll let you know when it ships." I tried emailing them numerous times using their site's fill-in page, the email address associated with my order fulfillment, and the email address on my paypal receipt. I've called the phone number listed on their website 3 separate times, getting no answer the first two and having someone answer today stating that I had the wrong number. I'm really starting to wonder about this store, and if I need to take action through paypal or my credit card company. However, I've seen posts here and on other forums about people placing orders through them and getting their items. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience dealing with them, or if anyone has better contact information for them, or just some advice in general.

I don't know how big an operation it is or if it's a one man show but plenty have ordered from them with no issues. It could be some personal issue with the owner. Just be mindful of the time period with paypal to start the dispute process. Not counting ordering date it's 9 days. I'd give them some more time though the phone issue is disturbing.

I just ordered from star and noticed that certain strops are delayed. The notice is on their shop website when you pull up the item you want to purchase. I ordered some replacement leather on 6/21 and expect them to ship early July.
I have never had to call them but I would suggest just being patient. They are a small operation, maybe two people!

I'd double check the phone # and try again during their posted working hours. Remotely possible you had the wrong # ?

Thanked: 177As everyone has said, hopefully everyone is well. I've ordered numerous strops paddles slurry soaps and bench strops and never had an issue. Relatively fast and I'm satisfied doing business with them.

I've orderd a number of iteams from SS not only for my self but as gifts for friends and family that I've gotten into SRS, I'm talking laptop boards,strops,brushes etc.. I only ever get a email showing what I've purcheced. Sometimes it's at my door in a week others have been a couple weeks.

Something is going on there, I emailed an inquiry to them on there website "contact us" link and the first time they did not respond to me. I sent the same inquiry a second time and it took them over a week to get back to me. When I initially ordered from them several months ago the service was very speedy.

I just ordered some stuff from them 2 weeks ago and it arrived in a reasonable time.
