A great job of work!
I have worked with linear bearings and would highly recommend use of protective bellows to reduce abrasion of the bearings and shafts. The only complaints I had designing testing fixtures with roundways was the difficulty of protecting the shafts and bearings from dust and abrasion.
It appears that you have wipers on all the bearings and that is a good thing. There are also bellows types which are designed to further protect the round ways.
Thanks again for a great "reduction to practice" of a machine we all would love to have!

Great simple, elegant, design. I like it a lot.

It is easy to Rube Goldburg, but really hard to come up with clean, efficient designs. This is an impressive setup.

I think I asked this in the facebook group as well: do you plan on making smiling / curved designs with this as well, or do you intend to gind 'straight' razors like the guy who grinds the dovo razors in a similar setup (but with stone wheels)?

EDIT: Also, if you're intenting to do higher grit grinding after heat treatment, are you going to run some sort of coolant over the razor during grinding?
