As a new straight razor that was basically everything I needed to hear. You were totally right about pushing in on the neck with a Mach 3, something I used to do. I tried the same thing with a straight razor but I'm glad I watched your video and now realize I'm wrong.

Great Video. I have been trying to find a good video where someone demonstrates how they hold the razor on the ATG pass.

Learned it by trial and error. I'm an engineer by trade so I tend to have a methodical approach to most things.

Very cool vids. Thanks. Also checked out your stropping and honing vids. Thanks for making them. I do have 2 questions for you:

1. It looks like you were lathering up your face dry. Is that whta you were doing, or did you edit out wetting your face before lathering? If you do do it dry, why? Just curious...

2. I'm curious about this homebrew bay rum A/S you mentioned in the OP.....care to share the recipe? I love me some bay rum!

1. i took a shower right before the video was made. i didn't include that in the film because the mods have threatened to banninate me if i post another nude video of myself.
