Nice work, where is the info to take the nick out, that was a pretty big chunk. All I have ever used is pointy tip blades, ive been bit and in 15 years ive had a couple bites on customers...one still gives me hell over the tiny scar he has on his left cheek the point left him when i snagged an acne spot and pulled a divot of skin... *sigh* I really like my round tip....cant believe I hadnt tried one years ago. Im confident in my shaving abilities (I shave the sides on a lot of high and tights and flat tops with razor....probably 4 or 5 average per day times 15 years)

A well muted square point might serve your purpose also. JMO

Brad also know as undream on straight razor place has a video and if you go to the internet and type in remove chip fron straight razor pt. 1 it should come up. he does a good job of showing how and explains it well. I think I will mute the point a little and re-hone the razor and try it again. I noticed that on smaller razors ( 9/16 - 4/8) with smaller scales that I do better with the pointed blades. I believe that with my hands and lack of some mobility due to my friend author I'm not getting the angle right. next shave will be with a 9/16 Bismarck that I've used before and try it again. I believe i'll do better couldn't do much worse

The bite is like an old fashioned teacher's crack across your knuckles with her ruler to remind you to pay attention.
Do what ya want, Richard. If one bites me once hard or twice light, I mute the sucker under the windowsill a couple of strokes. HA! That will show them!

I might have gotten more kitty scratches while learning than anybody. Most of my razors are square toed biters but I have got used to them and no more bites. I blunted 1 and now wish I didn't. I will be going over a trim line and after 6 passes I realize, DOH this ones blunted.

Sharp, it's a church of all beliefs with the sole aim of having peace on earth and an uninterrupted shave of your choice, DFS or BBS.
