Is it thick enough to maybe make a wedge for a razor, paired with black or brown horn, or ebony? Could be a neat little detail.
Eric my immediate thought is 1/32 black G-10 liner, three pieces of ivory with black horn or shell strips about an 1/8 of an inch between each piece. It could be hot. Of course there is no limit to mixing other materials with the ivory pieces either. I have some broken ivory scales that I have been saving for similar projects.
Like all spectacular projects Eric, it is all about the planning and the details.
Sorry I was a no show as I was cooking a red sauce with fresh local tomatoes, onions etc for supper. However I was there in Spirit as I was enjoying some really cold beers along with cooking and sweating since my landlord hasn't replaced the defunct wall mounted air conditioner/supposed to be installed tomorrow.
You know, you could always salvage the wood for scales and brush handles and use some of the wires to make cheese cutters/just thinking
