A side-effect of the magnet-jig (what I call them) is your blade will want to climb up all your others after you are done. It can be annoying.
I have a demagnifier which works swell. Seems there are some home made ones on Youtube as well.

The picture two posts above is the best answer. Looks very simple, but makes a real difference when sanding and polishing.
The magnets alone are not a danger for the full hollows, but you definitely need to curb your enthusiasm a bit when pressing on them. Nothing complicated though.
That's right. I also picked up cheap Chinese demagnetizer to "clean" the blades after working on them.
re also a bunch of magnetic tape erasers, from sound tape recording days, around yet. And there at flea markets and junk shops.

bulk+tape+demagnetizers
They are a 110VAC strong electromagnet that you wave over the part from very near and keep swinging as you back off to a foot at least. They make the residual field in the blade less and less with every pass over it.
Have fun!

Gods show, guys! The one I have is kindof overkill.
Run the spine on it twice and it won't pick-up a piss ant's paperclip! ;)
I HAVE seen them go cheap on the bay, however.
My friends ask what it is and I say it's a 'creditfixer'!
Set your credit-card right there and turn it on!
(It humms VERY loudly!)
FIXED! :roflmao
Nice! Can i borrow it for my wifes cards.
For full hollows, I place a thin piece of neoprene under the blade. It takes care of the flexing of the blade while sanding. Like the mattress on your bed..!
