Im not fortunate enough to have any bog oak so i will make do the the horn. And like ya said, it dies easy enough. I will just make sure i get lots of horn mixed in. I think the spots i need to repair are about 3/16 at the most and on the edges. So i will pack it in, let it setup, sand them down and dye. Then afterwards, soak in oil for a week and cross my fingers.
