I do, I was actually thinking about the original wade and butcher double boxes. I had a couple that were from Frederick Reynolds..
Nice work Mike. The master of horn repairs!
I have several double-coffins. The Bow Razors were somewhat smaller than the ones typically in them, I think.
Gimme an overall length, Mike. I will look and see.
6 1/4" from tip of tail, to end of scales, Tom.
Some of you may remember these scales I did a while back... it seems that we have a problem. I was look at the razor the other day, and noticed that some cracks had appeared in the scales:

Around this time, I did four sets of scales the same way using the same material, which was re-purposed clipboards. I checked the other three, and of those, two are also showing cracks:

When I was making the four sets, I also broke three sets of scales, making seven in total. So, the conclusion for now is that this plastic is no good for scales, it does not seem to be stable under any kind of tension.
What plastic material do the members suggest for scales? I think I'll just buy some acrylic sheet, unless anyone has any better suggestions.
Kirinite. Lots of colors and patterns
Bone
Horn
Acrylic
Thats too bad. I had thought about the clipboard idea but never got around to it. Thanks for sharing the bad news. But Dave has the info you need.
